The research design used for the study was a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study consists of some selected government and private secondary School teachers in lapai local government area of Niger state. The sampling technique used for the study was simple random sampling technique, with a samples size of 31 teachers. The instrument used for the data collection was self structured questionnaire. The data gathered were analyzed using frequency count, percentage and means table for the researchers questions and Based on the analysis of the data, the findings of the study revealed that the socio-economic status of Biology students have positive influence on their academic performance and the parents education also influence the academic performance of the students in Biology.
