Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the contributions of modern communication equipment to the job performance of secretaries in Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja. The descriptive survey design was used for the study because it focuses on people, the vital facts of people and their beliefs, options attitudes motivations and behavior. The introduction of modern communication equipment is promoting efficiency in all areas of human activities. Individuals, groups and governments all over the world are taking the advantage of this to activities of various sectors through the development of new skills. Modern communication equipment has changed the face of offices and consequently made business environments wear a new look. The introduction of modern communication equipment gadgets, equipment and facilities improves the manner in which message is preserved, recalled, shared and relayed for information and communication purposes. The result of the study confirmed that modern communication equipment have an impact on a secretary’s job. There is a need for offices and organizations to remain up to date and always apply modern communication equipment in the running of the organization and in managing its records....
