Abstract
This research study is titled“Effect of Technological Advancement on the Job Performance of Office Secretaries: A Case Study of Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Professional and Advanced Technology, Lokoja”. The major purpose of this study was to highlight technological equipment used by secretaries in an organization, to find out the effect of technological advancement on secretary’s performance in Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute, Lokoja, and also to identify the challenges to the use of technological equipment by secretaries in an organization. In the course of carrying out this research, review of literature was carried out and references were made by different authors listed on the reference page. The descriptive survey design was used for the study because it focuses on people, the vital facts of people and their beliefs, options attitudes motivations and behavior. The major instrument used for data collection is the questionnaire, which was validated by the selected twenty (20) respondents used as samples out of the forty (40) respondents in the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Professional and Advanced Technology, Lokoja. Findings reveal that there are technological equipment used by secretaries in an organization. which includes computer, telephones, scanners, fax machines, printers and photocopiers. It also reveals that there are effects of technological advancement to the secretary’s performance in the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute, Lokoja.  The researcher therefore recommends that management should endeavour to equip secretaries with the latest technologies in order to meet up with the demands of their clients and potential clients, and the management should make sure that there is a stable power supply to the secretaries and staff that use modern office technological equipments. Generators should be provided in case of power failure....
