The objective of the study was to find out the level of participation of Sapele residents in citizen journalism and to know whether Sapele residents’ views and opinions towards citizen journalism. The study comprised of descriptive survey method as the research design involving the use of questionnaires as the primary source of data and the simple percentage as the method of data analysis. This study was anchored on the democratic participant media theory. The respondents were purposively selected. Sample size of 120 was derived from the area of the study population. One hundred and twenty (120) copies of the questionnaire were administered to the respondents out of which some were retrieved and thus used as the basis for data analysis. The random sampling techniques was used by the research to select the sample. Findings from the study showed that Sapele residents are familiar with citizen journalism and they partake in citizen journalism there is a high level of involvement in citizen journalism for the promotion of EndSARS protests by Sapele residents finally, Sapele residents fully participate in citizen journalism. Based on these findings, the researcher recommends that all forms of violent protests should be shunned hence, all conclusions should be reached between the masses and the ruling government.
