To achieve this, the survey research method was used. Samples were drawn from various residents in Jesse Town using purposive and random sampling techniques. Four research questions guided the study. Research findings showed that the media plays a vital role in promoting African Traditional Culture in society. It was also revealed that in promoting the Iyere Festival of Jesse, the media make use of news commentaries documentaries and frequent announcements of the festival.
