Abstract
This research work is aimed at assessing the Impact of Television Broadcasting in the Sensitization of the COVID-19 vaccine using the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Asaba, as a study focus, The objective of this study is to identify the level of acceptance of television broadcasting programmes amongst Asaba residents. The instrument used for this study was questionnaires. This research work was anchored on the social responsibility theory.  The purposive sampling technique was used by the researcher. The respondents were purposively selected. The questionnaire was designed and distributed to the respondents to generate data for the study. The researcher administered 68 copies of the questionnaire to the respondents, the same were retrieved and used as the basis of analysis for this study. The researcher used the simple percentage method in the tabulation of results. Findings show that Nigeria Television Authority Asaba aids in the sensitization of Asaba residents on the COVID-19 vaccine and Asaba residents prefer television stations’ broadcasting to radio stations broadcasting in the sensitization of COVID-19 vaccine. Based on these findings, the researcher recommends that NTA should maintain the tempo of the daily awareness programme on“Corona Virus Disease” and improve its efficiency.  ...
