Abstract
The study: The Effect of Poor Working Conditions on the Performance of An Office Manager using Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja as the case study. Due to the nature of the study, sample size of this research work was fifty (50) respondents, data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions and determine the homogeneity of the respondents’ responses. T-test was used to test the hypotheses. Findings revealed that ensuring a safe working environment is often a legal requirement mandated by occupational health and safety regulations. Compliance helps avoid legal liabilities, fines, and penalties, demonstrating the organization's commitment to ethical business practices. The study recommended that Employers should take the initiative to motivate employees by improving work environments. As employees are motivated, their job performance will increase, and they will achieve the desired outcomes and goals of the job The organization should map out programme for the provision of a good work environment to increase productivity and promote occupational safety and health of workers The management should ensure that there is adequate and proper improvement of the working environment of employee’s so as to enhance their morale to work efficiently and effectively. ...
