It informed the health officers on the understanding of health information managers regarding patient care. Among the objectives were to ascertain the underlying factors that influence health information management professionals' attitudes towards patient care, to determine whether health information management professionals' attitude towards patient care impact their job satisfaction and burnout levels, to determine the health information management professionals attitude towards patient care impact their communication and interaction with patients and find out the differences in attitude towards patient care between health information management professionals with different levels of education.. Many medical and allied literatures were reviewed to develop more facts for the project work. This research use descriptive survey to sample health information managers in the study area. Questionnaire is the instrument used to gather and analyze the data, 98 questionnaires were distributed out of which 98 were also retrieved. In conclusion, recommendations were made that there is a need for Health Information Managers to treat the patient as the way it supposed to be treated i.e in accordance, Health Information Managers should communicate well with the patients and their relatives because good communication enhances the quality of patient care.
