This research was carried out on awareness and practice of preventive measures of malaria among pregnant women attending PHCC. The specific objectives of the study are to find out the level of awareness of the prevention of malaria among pregnant women in PHCC, to determine the level of practice of preventive measures against malaria among pregnant women in PHCC and to identify barriers to practices of preventive measures of malaria among pregnant women in PHCC. The study used a descriptive survey design questionnaire as the instrument for data collection, 62 respondents from the study sample after the instrument was administered, the study was carried out in the Primary Health care center. The sampling technique for this study was simple random sampling technique, data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS version 23), and results were presented in tables. Despite the good awareness of Malaria Prevention and Control Among Pregnant Women, the level of practice is poor. Finding of the study shows that there is high level of awareness of Malaria Prevention and Control among Pregnant Women in PHCC, there is a low level of practice of Malaria Prevention and Control among Pregnant Women in PHCC state despite the high level of awareness and the reason for the low level of practice of Malaria Prevention and control among the pregnant women is due to some barriers like body itching when used, side effect of Sulfadoxine Pyramethamine and feeling of uncomfortable due to reduced airflow.
