The principal aim of the research was to assess the effectiveness of Radio Niger in raising awareness, influencing attitudes, and identifying challenges in environmental health advocacy. The literature review examined related studies, showing how broadcast media has been successful in promoting public health awareness. The study was grounded in the Agenda-Setting and Social Cognitive Theories, which explain media’s role in shaping public perception and behavior. A descriptive survey design was employed, with stratified and purposive sampling used to select 400 respondents from the total population of regular listeners of Radio Niger. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Key findings include that 85% of respondents reported increased knowledge about environmental health, while 75% acknowledged changes in their waste management behaviors. The study concluded that Radio Niger effectively raises environmental health awareness but faces challenges like inadequate funding and technical limitations.
