Drawing on Agenda-Setting, Framing, and Social Cognitive Theories, the study explores how media highlights issues, shapes understanding, and influences behavior. These theories collectively provide insights into how"Nigeria Today" impacts listeners’ engagement with Niger State’s development initiatives. The study utilized a cross-sectional survey design, targeting a population of 362 listeners in Minna and surrounding areas. Sampling was conducted using a simple random technique, with the sample size calculated via Taro Yamane''''s formula. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics to interpret frequency distributions and percentages. Findings reveal high programme awareness (82.3%) and strong regular listenership, with 43.1% of respondents listening daily and 27.1% weekly. A significant majority (75.7%) reported that the programme enhanced their understanding of the New Niger Agenda, and 68.2% noted it influenced their opinions. Recommendations include increased interactive segments, expert contributions, and expanded social media engagement to enhance reach and effectiveness. This study underscores the role of media in fostering public engagement with state initiatives.
