Abstract
The 180W solar system was determined by load assessment, solar panel number determination, battery requirement, inverter sizing, charge controller and other accessories. A complete solar panel rated at 180W was, however, purchased, together with a 100Ah solar battery, a 1kVA inverter and also 30A charge controller. These were assembled together with the necessary protective gadgets. The solar panel was mounted outside the building to allow for maximum collection of solar energy. It is expected that the system will help the department meet its office duties even when central power is not available. This project details the design and construction of a multi-unit electronic appliance charger designed for commercial use, featuring multiple AC outlets to simultaneously charge a variety of electronic devices like smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches, providing a convenient charging station with efficient power distribution and safety features, suitable for retail stores, cafes, or public spaces where customers can readily charge their devices while on premises. ...
