With the hospitality industry being a significant contributor to economic growth yet a considerable source of environmental impact, this research highlights the importance of integrating eco-friendly practices to enhance operational efficiency and promote sustainable development. Data were collected from two hospitality establishments in Jos Elim Top Suites and Crispan Suites, through surveys involving staff and guests. The findings reveal the primary sustainable practices employed in the industry, such as energy and water conservation, waste management, and eco-conscious food preparation. The study also identifies barriers to widespread adoption, including high implementation costs, insufficient stakeholder awareness, and challenges in measuring the effectiveness of sustainable practices. Despite these challenges, the research underscores the potential benefits of sustainable initiatives, including cost savings, enhanced brand image, and improved guest satisfaction and retention. It concludes with actionable recommendations for overcoming implementation barriers and promoting sustainable practices, contributing to the industry's long-term viability and alignment with global sustainability goals. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and academic researchers, offering a pathway for balancing economic growth with environmental preservation and social responsibility in the hospitality sector.
