The specific purpose verifies whether speed and accuracy skills are needed in word processing in the Polytechnic Bali. Three research questions guided the study. The study will be a great benefit and will go a long way to correct the misconception and belief of many students, organizations and institutions that word-processing skills have an impact on the practicing Secretarial profession in the Polytechnic Bali. The design of the study was survey research design. The population of the study comprised thirty-three (33) secretaries in the Polytechnic Bali. No sample was taken as the number was too large for the researcher to handle. The questionnaire was used for data collection, and it was presented in tabular form. Data were analyzed using mean. Mean was used to answer all the research questions and it was used to explain how the responses of the secretaries varied. The researcher comes up with the following findings.
