In this study, a case study research design was adopted. The population of this study were all small businesses operating within Bali Metropolis. Hence primary method of data collection was used where a sample of 86 close ended questionnaires were prepared and administered to the respondent in the case study that were selected using the five point Likert scale. From the findings the study concludes that, electronic payment systems have a profound positive effect on the business performance of small businesses in Bali Metropolis, Taraba State. The high adoption rate and positive perceptions among business owners indicate a significant shift towards digital financial transactions. The key factors influencing adoption, such as peer influence, cost, ease of use, security, and awareness, are critical in understanding the dynamics of this transition. Based on the conclusion the study recommended that, government agencies and financial institutions should organize workshops and training programs to increase awareness and understanding of electronic payment systems. This will help address the knowledge gaps that hinder adoption. Government agencies and stakeholders should also strengthen the security features of electronic payment systems is vital to address concerns and build trust among small business owners. Continuous updates and robust security protocols can mitigate risks and enhance user confidence. Government agencies and stakeholders should encourage peer networking and information sharing among small business owners can further drive the adoption of electronic payment systems.
