Abstract
The current research study was carried out to examine the impact of a feasibility study on new businesses ventures using selected new business ventures in Taraba State. In this study, a survey research design was adopted. The population of this study consists of executives and their subordinates. Hence, the primary method of data collection was used, where a sample of 119 closed-ended questionnaires was prepared and administered to the respondents in the case study, that were selected using the five-point Likert scale.  From the findings, the study concludes that businesses with feasibility studies are more viable than those without. The problems of new business ventures includes: shortage of trained and skilled human resources, lack of access to funds, lack of access to credit facilities, and a hostile business environment. The problems associated with feasibility studies include: difficulty in obtaining accurate data and information from reliable sources, inability to recognize and interpret financial forecasts, difficulty in estimating important variables, and difficulty in determining the optimal time to start implementing the project on the ground. Based on the conclusion, the study recommends that a massive awareness campaign to the masses in order to create the requisite awareness of the uses of feasibility studies and the need to embark on them before starting up a new business. Businessmen should gather as much information as possible about their business before they go into such a business, because a feasibility study can help determine the market share of their organization....
