The research adopted a descriptive survey design with a sample of 200 respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Chi-square (?²) tests. The study found that CCTV cameras have contributed to reducing criminal activities and improving public safety in the town. The presence of surveillance cameras is perceived as a deterrent to criminal behavior. However, challenges such as inadequate monitoring, poor maintenance, lack of technical expertise, and inconsistent electricity supply limit the overall effectiveness of the CCTV systems. The study concludes that while CCTV surveillance is an effective crime prevention tool, its success depends on proper management, community support, and technological investment.
