Abstract
The aim of this research work was to investigate the levels of sodium and chlorine in diabetic subjects. Possibly to know if this parameter will serve as a biomarker for the investigation of diabetes total of low diabetic subjects were recruited into the study and another 20 apparently healthy subjects were also recruited to serve as control subjects. The samples were analyzed using standard biochemistry methods. Statistically, the results showed that sodium and chlorine levels were significantly elevated in diabetic subjects compared to healthy controls (p  0.05). There was a positive correlation between sodium and chlorine levels (n  0). The results suggest that elevated sodium and chlorine levels may be a marker of diabetes and associated complications. These findings could aid in the early detection and management of diabetes-related complications, particularly those affecting the liver, pancreas, and other organs. Further research is needed to determine the mechanism underlying the elevated levels of sodium and chlorine in diabetic subjects and to explore the potential clinical implications of these findings. This study highlights the importance of biochemical estimations in the management of diabetes and provides valuable insights into the relationship between amylase and diabetes....
