It is against this background that this researcher examined the perception of clients attending the glaucoma clinic at the Sobi Specialist Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State. The objectives of the study were to assess the level of knowledge of glaucoma management regimen, discuss patients’ perception on glaucoma management, including perceived barriers to adherence and satisfaction with their current treatment. Glaucoma is one of the serious health challenge to the public that requires timely intervention to prevent vision loss. This research study was a descriptive survey carried out to assess the perception of clients attending the glaucoma clinic on the glaucoma management regimen in Sobi Specialist Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State. 60 respondents were used for the research. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. The information from the research was manually analyzed and presented using frequency tables and bar charts. The analysis revealed that 96.7% of patients had glaucoma diagnosed in routine medical appointments with doctors. 41.7% of respondents agreed that their current treatment is effectively controlling their glaucoma. 45% of respondents strongly agreed that there are so much difficulty in obtaining glaucoma medications. Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that patients at Sobi Specialist Hospital have a good knowledge on glaucoma and its management and have a positive perception on current treatment regimen.
